The Flyers edged the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 in overtime

The Flyers looked listless, had some brain cramps (as did one referee) and came up short in their come back. The result? A 6-4 loss to the host Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night.

On the back of four (!) goals from Scott Laughton and largely dominant territorial play through the first two periods, the Flyers downed Detroit and earned another two points in the Eastern Conference standings.
